The Trang An boat tour takes you through a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its stunning limestone karsts, emerald waters, mystical cave systems, and historic temples. It offers a peaceful, eco-friendly way to explore Northern Vietnam’s famous "Ha Long Bay on land.
A typical Trang An rowing boat ride lasts between 2 to 3 hours. Visitors can choose from 3 main routes: Route 1 focuses on exploring up to 9 deep caves, Route 2 balances caves and cultural temples, and Route 3 features the longest cave (1,000m) and striking karst peaks.
As of recent rates, an official ticket costs 300,000 VND per adult and 150,000 VND for children from 1m - 1.3 meters tall and free for children whose heights are under 1m. Each traditional bamboo sampan comfortably seats 4 adults, and the ticket covers both the boat ride and entrance fees to all temples and caves along the route.
The best time to visit Trang An is from January to March during spring, when the weather is cool and temples host vibrant festivals, or in May and June to witness golden ripe rice fields along the riverbanks with blooming lotus flowers.
