Day 1: Hanoi street food tour (D)
Meet and greet by our driver at the arrival hall of Noi Bai International Airport and transfer to the hotel for check in. By 17.00, our tour guide will take you out for a walking tour to learn more about Hanoi history and cuisine. Your trip to Vietnam is incomplete without experiencing the street food like the local people. You will taste and sample many favorite dishes of Hanoi from spring roll to noodles, from grilled meat balls to BBQ bread.
Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2: Hanoi – Hoa Lu – Tam Coc (B, L)
After breakfast, depart to Ninh Binh for exploring Hoa Lu – Tam Coc one day tour. Upon arrival, you will visit Hoa Lu Ancient Capital to know more about part of feudal dynasties and historical periods in Vietnamese history.
Have lunch at a local restaurant in Tam Coc.
After lunch, depart to the dock for a boat ride to visit Tam Coc and see the beauty of the karst formations. Then, spend times on cycling through the quiet roads along the rice fields and rivers Tam Coc – Bich Dong (around 5 km).
Return to Ha Noi and you will arrive in the hotel by 18:00.
Day 3: Hanoi – Mai Chau valley biking (B, L, D)
After breakfast, you will depart to Mai Chau for 2 day trip. Upon arrival, visit the stilt houses of the ethnic people living here, enjoy the green fields and valleys with blue sky as well as having a warm and cozy lunch at the local homestay. After that, take a visit the remote villages in the valley and learn more about their daily life of the local people here. After dinner; join a dancing show with the locals and drinking wine and then stay overnight at the homestay (or bungalow upon request).
Day 4: Mai Chau hiking – drive back to Hanoi (B)
After breakfast, join in a hiking trip with group to explore 1000 step cave and the local market in Mai Chau. Free and easy before heading back to Hanoi.
Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 5: Hanoi – Halong bay day cruise (B, L)
After breakfast, depart for Halong one day trip. Upon arrival, you will get on the boat where the prepared lunch is ready. Lunch on the boat while cruising the beautiful islets such as Cock Fighting, Dinh Huong Islet, ect. Then visit the Thien Cung cave – the most beautiful cave in Halong bay and spend time visiting some different karst-formation islets around a floating village on the bamboo boats.
Around 16.30, get on the bus and return to Hanoi. Overnight in the hotel in Hanoi.
Day 6: Hanoi free and easy tour – departure (B)
After breakfast, free and easy conquering the city on your own to visit some highlights of Hanoi such as Temple of Literature, Hoa Lo prison, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Ethology Museum (volunteer guide provided, no meals, no car, no entrance fee).
Northern Vietnam Group package 6 day tour ends and depart to the airport for the onward flight.
