Day 1: Transfer Ha Noi – Ha Giang city (L,D)
06h30: The bus picks you up at your hotel in Ha Noi Old Quarter.
(Note: Our bus can pick you up at Noi Bai International Airport or at another location in the city; please tell us before.)
11h00: The bus stops at Tuyen Quang City for rest.
13h00: Bus arrives in Ha Giang City. Enjoy your lunch at our restaurant. After lunch, our bus will drop you off at the hotel for check-in and rest.
15h00: Tour guide picks you up at the hotel to visit around the city:
- Km0 Square, Ha Giang Provincial Museum, Cam Son Mountain View.
- Thanh Thuy Border Gate—Chinese border.
- Thon Tha, Ha Thanh Village. This is a small, beautiful village about 6 km from Ha Giang City of Tay people. There are still ancient houses on stilts, terraced rice fields, and most importantly, a beautiful waterfall that provides a pleasant walking experience.
19h00: Have dinner and come back to the hotel. This is usually done after having some free time.
Day 2: Ha Giang city – Dong Van (B,L,D)
06h30: Have breakfast at the hotel.
07h30: The car and tour guide pick you up. Right after that is a sightseeing trip to Ha Giang Loop:
- Km0 Ha Giang. This is the Ha Giang center and the starting point of the route of the road named Happiness from the city to the Meo Vac town with a length of 175 km.
- Bac Sum Pass—the first slope welcomes you to the Dong Van Karst Plateau GeoPark. At this point, we just drive through.
- Heaven’s Gate Quan Ba—Here you can stop and take pictures of the beautiful Quan Ba Twin Mountains at the top of the slope.
- Can Ty Pass—with an altitude of 1000 to 1200 meters above sea level. You can admire the beautiful and majestic scenery.
12h00: Have lunch with local food in Yen Minh, a small town. After lunch, proceed with the rest of the trip.
14h00: Tham Ma Pass—we can stop at the top of the slope and enjoy the beautiful slope. Before that, you have to go through 9 intriguing passages.
15h00: Visit Sung La Valley and Lung Cam Village—This is a small village with traditional H’Mong houses surrounded by stone fences. Typically you can visit the house named after Pao.
16h00: Visit the H’Mong King’s Palace—in the past, the building was the residence of the most powerful of the H’Mong people and was considered their palace at that time, in a unique Chinese style.
17h00: Arrive and check in at the hotel in Dong Van town.
- Dong Van district is the starting point of Vietnam, with a border stretching hundreds of kilometers with China. With a population of mainly ethnic minorities living there, such as H’Mong, Tay, Nung, Lo Lo, Co Lao, San Chi, and San Diu, most of them are H’Mong (about 70%). The most famous is Dong Van Old Quarter; since ancient times, this has been the major trading center of the whole region to this day. On Sunday mornings in Dong Van Old Quarter, there is a market of locals from everywhere flocking to gather, buy, and sell.
19h30: Have dinner at the Old Quarter. Thereafter, you can walk around.
Day 3: Dong Van – Meo Vac (B,L,D)
07:00: Enjoy breakfast at the local market and savor coffee. Afterward, head to Meo Vac.

13:00: Enjoy lunch at Yen Minh town.
15:30: Arrive at Rocks Ha Giang Restaurant to relax. Enjoy tea break time with a welcome drink and fruit.
16:00: Check in at the hotel in Ha Giang City.
19:00: Have dinner at the restaurant. After that, you can either enjoy your free time or return to the hotel to sleep.
Day 4: Ha Giang city – Hoang Su Phi – Thong Nguyen Village (B,L,D)
07h00: Have breakfast and check out of the hotel.
08h00: The tour guide picks you up at your hotel in Ha Giang City. The tour guide then drives you to Hoang Su Phi.
12h00: Arrive at the homestay and have lunch at Thong Nguyen Village in Hoang Su Phi. And then check in to the room to relax.
15h00: Our tour guide takes you to visit and admire the rice fields, admire the sunset, and admire the surrounding villages. The village of the Dao people, with its ancient bamboo trees, is particularly noteworthy.

Therefore, the terraced fields here are most beautiful during specific times of the year, particularly during the water pouring season (when people collect water for rice cultivation). April, May – September, and October are rice seasons every year.
18h30: Enjoy your dinner in the homestay. After your spare time, meet local people.
Day 5: Thong Nguyen – Suoi Thau – Ban Phung – Ha Noi (B,L)
06h30: You wake up early to go with the tour guide to watch the sunrise, catching the first rays of the sun shining on the terraced fields in this peaceful countryside.

07h00: Have breakfast at the homestay. Thereafter, the group continues the trip to visit Ban Phung village steppe. One way we stop and visit some viewpoints is at Ban Peo, Ban Nhung village, etc.
10h30: Arrive in Ban Phung village, walking tour of local villages (as ethnic group people: La Chi, Nung, Tay…) and enjoy the wonderful scenery of terraced fields.
12h00: Return to the local restaurant for a lunch stop.
14h00: Visit and take pictures at Suoi Thau valley. Then return back to Ha Giang City.
Suoi Thau Valley, situated approximately 5 km from Coc Pai town in Xin Man district in the west of Ha Giang province, boasts an altitude of over 1200 m above sea level and spans more than 90 hectares. Its stunning scenery draws in visitors. The valley boasts a unique blend of wild nature, rustic charm, and majestic grandeur.
17h00: Arrive at the Ha Giang city office to rest and wait for the bus pickup to Ha Noi.
18h00: The sleeping bus picks you up to come back to Ha Noi.
(If you go to Sa Pa, the bus picks up at 20h00.)
23h00: Arrive at the bus office at Ha Noi Old Quarter. The journey has concluded.
